New Art in Gallery

Posted in Artwork on May 17th, 2010

Adding some recent and not-so-recent new artwork to the gallery today =) Visit Gallery page to see larger versions.

I also updated the store page with some of the new merchandise. There are a few new letter and tabloid-size prints as well as bookmarks at the bottom of their respective pages. I might be adding some badges and buttons soon, now that I have original designs to sell =)

Made some significant revisions to another picture. I’m really happy with the changes. I look forward to being able to sell the new version as a print =)

EVA Babes

Would you believe I’ve never drawn them before?

I was printing out sheets of designs to be cut and made into buttons, and towards the end I had a half-page or so empty after adding all the images I currently needed to print of my existing designs. Not wanting to waste paper, I decided to whip up 2 totally new designs from my lists of buttons-to-make, hehe. Productivity Win.

Detail Shots

All of this is also on dA which means, in all likelihood, anyone reading this has already seen it all. HA

Some detail shots from the picture recently added to the gallery (Click to enlarge):

I was exhausted after working on this one D= But it was a fun process. Did a lot of things I’ve never done/tried before. I’d say I’m about 70% satisfied with it. That’s actually pretty good for me, heh.

Some sketches

I left my sketchbook at a friend’s place two weeks ago and finally got it back yesterday, so I decided to scan a ton of things. Click more for some sketches! Read more »

Well… I can’t say I’ve done anything really significant lately (By which I mean, finished something), but at least I’ve been doodling a lot. Read more »

I’ll be off soon!

Posted in Artwork, Conventions on July 9th, 2009

In about… oh… eight and a half hours I’ll be off to Tokyo in Tulsa. I hope the car ride isn’t going to be a pain. I’m not much for car rides unless I’m passed out the whole time. I kinda wanted to sleep some more tonight but there’s just so much to do. I still have school all morning, so I should really get most, if not all, of the packing done before that.

I threw this together at the last minute after heading off to the print shop to get some laminating done. I think it would be cool if, some day when I’m famous (HURR), I had a big sign/banner at my table. But for now this will have to do. I only printed it at 11″x17″, and since the drawings weren’t done to be that big it looks kinda blurry, but it’s shiny! Shiny is good. the main problem is that the print shop still messes with colors… I should have thought to convert it to CMYK first. I don’t know for sure if that’s the problem, but everything just looks so… yellow. Like Noizi Ito skin yellow, rofl. Its cool though. I’m not sure how I’ll display it, however. I want to hang it over the front of the table somehow.

Anyway, I hope to update soon after the con, dear blog! So long until then, wish me luck dear imaginary readers!

Happy Fourth!

Posted in Artwork on July 4th, 2009

Happy Fourth of July! Yay!

One of these years I’ll go to a fireworks show again, for real. I’ve really only been to one (That I remember). Every other year I usually just have to contend myself with watching from afar (you can see several fireworks shows going off in the distance from my backyard, most years), or watching the DC show on TV. It’s just always so darn crowded at all the shows around here, plus it’s hot as heck this time of year, not exactly good weather for sitting around outside, but once the sun goes down it becomes much better.

Anyway, pics!

I finished sketching L and Light for buttons. I’m much happier with how Light looks now. Now for colorin’…

Next up is Kaito of Vocaloid. I don’t really care for most art of him (I think he looks like a fruitcake… what with that light-blue and white color scheme and silly scarf thingy), but the fangirls demand Kaito, so I shall comply. I don’t think he looks much like himself here (Good thing?). Hopefully coloring will fix that 8D
