I started this a long time ago as a way to layout the design of Silver’s tattoos (or will scars, as they are called in the story). I decided to ditch the fancy design though in favor of something more simple and the possibility that the markings could change. I didn’t want the drawing to go to waste so I turned it into anatomy practice. I’m happy with the arms but the legs, not so much. Hence, cropped, hah! Not even his normal markings are shown here (face marks, the ring around his neck, etc) and he also doesn’t have the shackles on his arms, which in actuality are impossible to remove.

Missed a day again, bah >> Anyway, today’s sketch is inspired by my community college speech class, for which we are required to dress “nicely”. We weren’t ordered to tuck in our shirts, but I was planning to until I realized by belt was broken. Obviously I do not dress up often xD Also, I wanted to draw pants. I was sketching different views of a standard pair of pants in my sketchbook and I was frustrated cause none of them looked right, so I wanted some practice.

An extra one to make up for missing yesterday. I wanted to paint some skin 8]

Oops, I missed a day. Yesterday was a mess @_@ Had 2 work meetings, both of which ran longer than the usual one weekly meeting, a friend came over for a while, and I met my mom for lunch. Anyway, enough excuses. Today’s sketch isn’t new, and I don’t know if it’s going anywhere, but eh, I still like it. This might be one of the first times I drew Ben with sideburns…

This was drawn on paper, inked and colored on pencils, because I needed some things to put into the art show at Ikkicon4. I scanned in the lineart and did a quick color up to decide what colors to use (This was the first color picture of Tamaki).

I really wanna start doing a daily sketch upload on the blog here. Obviously I don’t have enough other interesting/important things to talk about, so turning the blog into a sketch blog is probably the best way to keep it from being entirely useless. Anyway, this sketch is far more refined and detailed than most that I would upload here. I have a nice backlog of sketches though, so hopefully I’ll be able to pull this off =) Also, it’s a good way for me to work on sketches that I like, but that really weren’t going anywhere special, yet still deserved some refinement.

Hey!

I’ve been wanting to make some changes to the “Wet Dog” picture for a while now. Tonight I finally got around to making some edits on it. Hopefully now it looks at least a *little* bit less like Sora…

Also, if anyone else is having problems viewing the gallery, I’m aware that lytebox is acting funny. When I try to click “close” it goes to the next picture instead, very annoying. If you’re having the same problem, just click outside the viewer in the dark space, instead of trying to click “close.” I’m getting kinda fed up with lytebox. The next iteration of this site will probably feature a more classic gallery viewing system.
